Kootenai (koot-ney)

It isn’t possible to build any more windows on the front of this stunning log home. The Kootenai design, featuring close to 4,000 square feet of beautifully designed space, captures the great outdoors and brings it in. From the grand foyer, the great room opens before you, featuring a fireplace and log spiral staircase.  The master suite is on the first floor, and three more bedrooms, plus a loft and office, are on the second floor.  The wraparound porch and outdoor fireplace, covered overhead, create outdoor living spaces perfect for summer or winter gatherings.

Options
Character logs—wood with artistic carvings or wood with knots, inclusions, and other kinds of natural scarring—can add a signature look to the great room.
A straight staircase, an option to the spiral shown in this plan, gives the room a totally different look.
